ccs tec drawings 23/03/2011

today we were in class for 2 periods with  Louise, shes was going through all the stuff we need to know like how to read a plan, which way the door opens and shut, and the windows etc, talking about sub floor and the roof, the area/foundation, then we started our first drawing assessment which was to draw a brick?? like WTF?? lol jx learnt how to draw it, how to read it and to divide exp390mm by four if the scale is 1:4, haven't quiet finished it drawing yet, later that day we went back into the work shop to finish off our saw stools, finished putting on my fours legs, learnt that the bevel can be useful, adjusting it to 1:3 to mark out the angle for the saw stool legs and fitting it onto the four slots we cut out last week, hammered it and nailed it all in and now it is squared :) churr

Yesterday we were in class going over buit 4540, going through the seven stages of building a single level house.
Preliminary and general works, foundations, sub floor/flooring, wall framing, roof framing, envelopment-roof cladding and interiors-lining, going through our assignments and how to do it, going through the step of building a single level house. Then we moved on to the work shop and worked on our saw stool. Taking the saw stool legs we had cut out ealier and, looked for the bow and place that face down on the bench planer to removethe bow at the end, then we put it through the thicknesser to cut it down to size so it can fit into the four slots we had cut out.
